If you are flying or driving to Reno, here is what your itinerary will look like:
- Thursday is a final pre-surgical appointment with the doctor.
- Friday is pre-operative testing with Northern Nevada Medical Center.
- Saturday & Sunday are free days for sightseeing such as Lake Tahoe or visit the many Casinos in Reno.

- Monday is surgery with a planned one overnight stay in the hospital.
- Tuesday is for recovery and likely be released from the hospital.
- We suggest a hotel stay Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- Thursday is the first follow-up with the doctor.
- Travel home Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.
Logistical Details if driving or flying to Reno:
- Fly or drive to Reno, Nevada (RNO).
- Rent a car (if flying).
- Please have a buddy, significant other, friend, etc.

About Dr. Kent Sasse
During college, Dr. Sasse spent a year at the University of Madrid, studying art history and becoming fluent in Spanish. Following his under graduate degree, Dr. Sasse earned two Master’s degrees from the University of California Berkeley, including a Master’s in Public Health . He went on to complete Residency training in Surgery at the University of California San Francisco, where he focused on gastrointestinal surgery and physiology.
After gaining admission to the top medical school the country, UCSF, he quickly focused on the field of surgery and felt especially drawn to the technological aspects of minimally invasive surgery.
He later completed Fellowship training at the Lahey Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts, before relocating to beautiful northern Nevada to develop his practice.
